Bake less Chocolate-Oatmeal Cookies Recip

This yummy sweet treat is great to make with kids. With no baking required you can’t beat it! I love the way this tasty treat is sweet yet not overpowering.  A quick and simple recipe for treats in a hurry!

Ingredients

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups sugar
½ cup butter
½ cup milk
½ cup creamy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups rolled or old fashioned oats (not instant)
1/2 rolled or old fashioned oats (not instant)

Directions
  1. In a medium heavy saucepan over medium heat, combine cocoa, sugar, butter and milk.
  2. Bring to al rolling boil and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from the heat and add peanut butter and vanilla, stirring until creamy.  Then stir in the oats until well combined.
  4. Drop by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper.  Set in the fridge for at least 20 minutes to cool and set.
Tip
Serve in designed cupcake liners for holidays or birthdays or any other special occasion!
This is another way to incorporate a bit of healthy nutrition that you get from the oats into your families meals!  What a clever disguise, you wrap it up in smooth chocolate and creamy peanut butter and poof you’ve got it, a sweet treat with some nutrients in it!
